#worldtunnelday - ACTIVITY REPORT

ABTUS-BVOTS celebrated on 4th of December the first official Belgian #worldtunnelday.

For so many projects around the world, December 4 is a special day of veneration to Santa Barbara as the patron saint of tunnellers and miners and all who work and visit underground construction environments.

ITA encouraged all member nations to celebrate this special day for tunnellers.

ABTUS-BVOTS organised on this day a member-meeting hosted by Promat (marketleader in passive tunnel fire protection). Together with a historical survey about tunnelling in Belgium, we visited the factory of Promat in Tisselt.
